I would have preferred the Marriott Pros: The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are fairly nice. Perhaps a touch on the small side. Bed is comfy. And it is outfitted with USB fixtures for your devices. Cons: Other seating is not that comfortable. Chair and couch in the room were not pleasant to sit in. Plus the $15/day "destination fee" and $52/day for valet parking (there is no other choice unless you want to drive around downtown Oakland looking for street parking. Good luck.) They want to be the Ritz. I'd rather stay at a Marriott.

The rooms were excellent and the staff were friendly. The drinks and food there are perfect!
